BACH Involvement Is A Natural for HealthWise Physicians

Offered through the ECHN Community HealthCare Foundation, BACH creates a strategic and philanthropic partnership between ECHN and participating businesses, with the shared goal of delivering quality healthcare in the community. Ms. Irvin believes this partnership is more critical in tough economic times. “I think it will give us as a community, a direction and strategy to be ready to engage in efforts such as lobbying legislators about bills relating to community healthcare needs,” she says. “With the current focus on financial stimulus for some industries, it’s critical that health and business community leaders are in sync, should there be such an opportunity for our hospitals, for instance.”

Like representatives of other companies in the Business Alliance for Community Health, J.Renee Irvin believes that this collaboration will play an important role in making the east-of-the-river communities a more attractive place to live, which in turn will be good for economic development. “Every person who runs any type of business has a vested interest in quality healthcare that’s available and affordable for employees and their families,” stated Ms. Irvin. She is hopeful that BACH will contribute to better, more affordable care for more families in the ECHN-served communities.
