East Hartford has so much to be proud of and as I enter into my third year as Mayor, I am aware more than ever of the optimistic future ahead for our town.

The development on the corner of Connecticut Boulevard and Main Street welcomes residents and visitors to the central business district. Each time I attend an event at Rentschler Field, I am overwhelmed by how wonderful a facility it is. Any day that you visit Cabela's, our latest addition to the area, we are reminded of what a diversified and popular retail establishment they are. I look forward to further development and projects as we continue to move ahead.

In addition to new projects and development, we continue to address blight issues as we work toward enhancing our residential neighborhoods. We will continue to invest in our educational system to ensure that our youth have the best opportunity for a successful future.

We will continue to move forward with positive programs, development and projects. I am proud to be part of the continued growth of our community and thankful for all that our Chamber of Commerce does for our town.
